Key info.

New to 2017, our Oxford event introduced a whole new set of schools and businesses to the world of Your Green Future.

There was stiff competition between Network Rail and Green Biologics to win the students £1m of investment in the Dragon’s Den workshop. Whilst in the Resourceful Future workshop, students – in an effort to reduce food waste – developed the concept of a Food4U App, to encourage University of Oxford students to post pictures of ingredients they didn’t want to see if other students might want them.

And with waste still in mind, students in the business workshop designed ‘Plant’, a revolutionary water container made from seaweed, which would not only reduce the amount of plastic ending up in the sea but which would also contribute profits to help clean up the world’s seas.
