Kecks Clothing

Kecks takes old and preloved clothes that would go to landfill, and makes them wearable again. Every piece is individual and fashion forward, and we try to be as freesized as possible. We also hold workshops showing others how to upcycle their old textiles into clothing and beyond, and encourage everyone to buy nothing new where possible.

Wyke Farms

Wyke Farms is one of the largest independent cheese makers in the UK producing over 13000 tonnes of cheddar per year. They are a traditional family run business who have been making cheddar in Somerset to the same award winning recipe since1861.  Wyke Farms are the UK’s first national cheddar brand to become 100% self-sufficient in green energy.

River Cottage

River Cottage is a more than profit organisation set up by High Fearnley-Whittingstall in 1998, communicating his SLOW food ethos through his own Channel 4 programme. Since then, high impact environmental campaigns have helped change the eating habits of a nation, had significant impact on legislation and improved the welfare of animals and fish.

Labour Behind the Label

Labour Behind the Label is an NGO campaigning for garment workers' rights worldwide. We raise awareness and mobilise consumers, encouraging international solidarity between garment workers and the British public. We pressure companies to take responsibility for workers' rights throughout the entirety of their supply chains, and lobby governments and policy makers for lasting change in the global fashion industry. 

Bristol Textile Recyclers

Founded in 1972, BTR Ltd (Bristol Textile Recyclers) is a family run, Bristol based business who works with schools, charities and community groups helping them to fundraise through the recycling of their unwanted clothes, shoes, bags and belts. Recycling 100 tonnes of clothing each week, BTR exports the clothing for reuse in Eastern Europe, central Africa and Pakistan. This creates employment and trade as well as gives people access to good quality, reusable second hand clothing.   

The Fairtrade Foundation

The Fairtrade Foundation is the UK member of the global standard setting and producer development non-profit organisation Fairtrade International. Fairtrade works with more than 1.4 million smallholder farmers and workers across 74 countries globally, with products certified to carry the independent FAIRTRADE Mark now sold in 125 countries across Europe, North America, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, South and East Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand. 

We Do Ethical Fashion

We Do Ethical Fashion Organisation is committed to raising awareness and the profile of ethical fashion. Since 2009 they’ve been recycling clothing & using TV & events to promote ethical practice and values. The organisation is supported by their luxury upcycled label ‘WeDoReDo’, and founder, Kelly Levell, who works to assist other businesses in implementing good corporate social responsibility through consultancy, eco-apparel manufacture, supply & print.

Children's Scrapstore

Children's Scrapstore turns waste things into play things. We are a charity that collects scrap, such as manufacturing waste from a range of organisations, for free. We store it, clean it and then distribute it to schools, educational groups and families to be used as materials for young people’s development.

Bristol Water has supplied drinking water for over 167 years, and is always striving to provide high quality services and value for money. We serve a population of 1.1 million people in an area of 2,400 square kilometers centered on Bristol. Bristol water currently supplies approx. 280million liters of water per day, through a network of 6,700 km of mains.

South Gloucestershire Council

South Gloucestershire Council manages a 25 year Private Finance Initiative (PFI) waste contract with Suez Environment. The Council is responsible for monitoring the contract, including the safe collection and disposal of household waste and recyclables from over 110,000 properties and four civic amenities sites within the district. The council is also responsible for a local waste strategy for household waste and policy development.
