Griff and Ed started Friska in 2009 with a clear idea; they wanted to be the best place to go for Breakfast, Lunch, great coffee and real hospitality every day. For them Best meant and still means; Fresh interesting Food inspired from around the world and made using ingredients to really feel good about.
Since opening in 2009 Friska has opened 6 stores around Bristol, won the Observer Food Monthly Award for Best Ethical Restaurent and has successfully raised £1.25 million to grow the company around the UK.
Griff takes the lead on People at Friska (both colleagues and customers) as well as anything else the day might throw at him.

Liz Zeidler is co-founder and Director of Happy City Initiative, a ground breaking Charity and Social Enterprise based in Bristol UK. Happy City works to focus action, policy and energy into ways of being and doing that allow people to thrive and the planet to sustain itself. It delivers training, projects and measurement tools to support individuals, communities, businesses and cities to thrive. It’s flagship Happy City Index project is creating an innovative and interactive new measure of prosperity for city regions, and attracting interest from cities around the world.
Liz is also founder and co-director of modoto, a sustainability and change agency for leaders in public, private and voluntary sectors. Liz has worked at all levels, in every sector, on 4 continents, ranging from individual entrepreneurs to global businesses, and from small teams in NGOs to the UN.
Liz is currently Chair of Bristol Green Capital Partnership, a network of over 750 organisations who together have helped win Bristol the Award of European Green Capital 2015, and will help deliver a lasting legacy for the city.
